About This Plant
Vates Collards are a compact, heirloom variety of Southern collard greens (Brassica oleracea var. viridis) prized for dark blue-green leaves, excellent cold tolerance, and slower bolting. Leaves are tender and flavorful, growing well in home gardens, raised beds, and dense plantings. Harvestable in about 60–75 days, they are suitable for spring, fall, or overwintering in mild climates.
